About Us
Morton Theatre Association (MTA) is a tax-free, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that supports the director, students, and families of the theatre program at Morton West High School (Stage West).
What We Do
We serve Stage West through a variety of efforts carried out by parent and community volunteers. 100% of Morton Theatre Association’s funds directly support the needs of Stage West’s theatre director, cast and crew. We aim to serve theatre department staff and families with support the school district might not be equipped to provide.

Examples of what our funds go toward:

Annual Stage West banquet/picnic for all students

Food for students, staff, and parent volunteers during tech weeks or important meetings

Field trips to local theatre performances and events

Trips to the yearly Illinois High School Theatre Festival

Equipment and supplies such as headsets, costume storage, stools for the tech booth, ladders, makeup, fans for the dressing room, etc.

Funding a Hinckley water dispenser and monthly water delivery for backstage

Workshops about theatre disciplines such as makeup, lighting, design, etc.

Thespians’ graduation regalia

Any variety of needs brought to MTA’s attention by Stage West leaders
Our Funding
The primary way we raise funding is by selling Annual Memberships. These act as a season pass that allows families and friends the benefit of seeing EVERY SINGLE Stage West show during a school season at one low price! Learn More

Selling Personal Ads, Well-Wisher Messages, and Fan-o-grams
